In case you missed it, our Co-founder, Richard Collins, recently attended Unbiased Day in Stockholm and warned that "generative AI has shaken up the playing field for recruitment processes worldwide, and puts the power in the hands of jobseekers".
Jobseekers are increasingly using AI, like ChatGPT, to generate CVs, cover letters, and practice interview questions. Some people have become so advanced in using AI, that they employ it to send mass applications overnight and answer complex interview questions in real-time.
Current recruitment systems, like ATSs, are ill-equipped to handle AI-assisted applications, with many recruiters relying on system providers for solutions.
However, another viewpoint Richard explores, is that employers value tech-savvy candidates who swiftly embrace new technologies. From this perspective, jobseekers who can effectively leverage AI in their job application should be regarded as proficient and adaptable, rather than being perceived as lazy.
